Which authoring tool should we use for our eLearning project?

It depends on three things: what your in-house team can maintain afterward, how complex the interactions need to be, and what you may already own a licence for. Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate suit complex branching and simulations; Rise and Elucidat suit fast responsive builds; Lectora suits accessibility-first programs; iSpring suits PowerPoint-based teams; dominKnow suits large multi-language programs. We assess your brief and recommend one in writing before any build starts.

Do you only work in Articulate Storyline?

No. Storyline is one of seven tools our developers are certified in, Articulate Rise, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, Lectora Inspire, iSpring Suite, dominKnow and Elucidat are equally in active use. We recommend the tool that fits the project, not the one we're most comfortable defaulting to.

Can you build in the authoring tool we already own a licence for?

Yes, and we usually recommend it if the tool genuinely fits the brief, there's no reason to pay for a new licence when your existing one works. We'll tell you honestly if your current tool is a poor fit for a specific project instead.

Will we receive the source files, not just the published course?

Yes. Every project includes the native source files for the tool used.story for Storyline.cptx for Captivate, and so on, plus the published SCORM/xAPI package. Your team can open, edit and republish independently of us.

Can you migrate courses from one authoring tool to another?

Yes. We rebuild content from the source files or the published output when source is unavailable, preserving interactions and assessments where the target tool supports them, and flagging anything that can't carry over before work begins.

Do published courses work the same regardless of authoring tool?

Yes, every course, whichever tool built it, is packaged to SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, xAPI or cmi5 and tested on your actual LMS before delivery, so tracking and reporting behave identically to your learners and admins.
