Articulate Rise: How to configure Storyline block completion

In Articulate Rise, you can now embed the interactive and engaging activities designed in Articulate Storyline. Not just embedding but also restrict the users from jumping to next slide until they complete the activity. This can be accomplished easily by adding Continue block type in Articulate Rise and it works like a Continue button and gives you more control over navigation.

Let’s look at how to include this feature in Articulate Rise.

Step 1

Open Articulate Rise course. Select edit mode in any of the block and click the “plus icon (+)”.

In Edit Continue panel, set the Completion Type to complete the block.

A Continue block has following Completion Types:

None (Always Show Button): Button is enabled. Learners can move to another block without any restriction.

Complete All Blocks Above: Button is disabled. It restricts learners from moving to another page until they view all blocks above.

Complete Block Directly Above: Button is disabled. Learners must complete the content above to move to another page.

In the completion type dropdown list, select “Complete Block Directly Above”.

    Hello,

I am curious if there are any tricks to configuring Storyline block completion. I understand how to set a Continue divider but I am not able to let Rise know when the Storyline activity I created for the Storyline block is actually complete so the learner can move on. I have set the final trigger in Storyline to exit the course when a button is clicked, but that does not seem to pass anything to Rise. Even though I set the Continue divider to require that the previous block is completed first, when I preview the course it always allows you to move forward before the activity is started.

    What can I do?
